Topic: The Christian Health Professional
The professions of medicine and dentistry require specialized knowledge and an intensive time of preparation. Beyond technical expertise, training also is a socialization process designed to mold behavior to adopt certain modes of expression, dress, personal priorities, and lifestyle considered acceptable to other members of the profession. In this regard, no other profession is more intense than medicine or dentistry. How should a Christian prepare for success as a Christian doctor? The scriptures offer examples of men and women called to professional service in a secular environment. Through their stories God has something to say to us about becoming a successful professional in the 21st century.
We hope you will join us during the Martin Luther King weekend as our speaker, Michael Miller, MD introduces us to with three Bible characters who demonstrate God’s principles of professional success. They will teach us how to prepare, face the challenges, start strong, and “run with endurance the race set before us.”
